You are told the cost first
Prices are given before treatment rather than after. Payment at the end of the visit, cash or card, with an itemised receipt and an English medical report.
Tests are done on site
Blood tests, including dengue and full blood counts, are run here and read the same visit rather than sent to the mainland and waited on.
We come to you if you cannot come to us
A doctor walks to accommodation across Tonsai Village and Loh Dalum, usually within about half an hour. Long Beach and the eastern bays take longer.
Transfers are arranged, not suggested
Where the mainland is needed we stabilise you, call the receiving hospital ahead, and arrange the boat and the ambulance so the two connect.
